Rey Castillo, AIA

Rey Castillo is the Associate Principal and Multi-Family Studio Leader at O’Brien Architects, where his leadership, dedication, and passion for design drive the success of every project. Born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and raised in Laredo, TX, Rey’s upbringing in two border towns shaped his appreciation for diversity and the importance of community. 

A strong advocate for collaboration, Rey’s leadership fosters an environment where every team member is supported, and success is achieved through mutual respect and shared goals. 

Outside of his professional life, Rey enjoys exploring nature, often spending his free time hiking and discovering new trails. Driven by a deep love for his family and the desire to be a positive role model, Rey finds fulfillment in making a difference in both his career and personal life.
