Johan Venter

Johan Venter is a designer at O’Brien Architects, where he combines precision and creativity to bring architectural concepts to life. Growing up in Grapevine, TX, he was captivated by space and once dreamed of becoming an astronaut, a curiosity that later evolved into a passion for design. 

He strives to improve every day, following the philosophy that you’re either getting better or worse—there’s no staying the same. His mentor, Andy Kim, offered him a piece of wisdom that has stuck with him: “You can’t expect everyone to be able to do what you can do, and you can’t blame them for that fact.” 

Beyond architecture, Johan enjoys unwinding through gaming, catching up on The 100, and embracing the occasional staycation at home.
