David Truong

David Truong is an Associate and Senior Project Manager leading the Retail Studio at O’Brien Architects. Raised in Oklahoma, he developed an early fascination with design, originally aspiring to become an automotive designer before architecture captured his interest. 

With a deep appreciation for hard work—instilled by his parents—David has built a career focused on bringing conceptual sketches to life, ensuring that every design is both functional and impactful. His passion lies in turning ideas into real-world spaces that people interact with daily.

Beyond architecture, David enjoys unwinding in nature, with the Smoky Mountains and Sedona, Arizona, being among his favorite destinations. Even when he takes time off, he often finds himself drawn back to his work, always thinking of the next project.
