Real Salt Lake Master Plan

The Stadium Village study area is a portion of the Cairns District and is located immediately north of the Sandy Central Business and Cultural District. Within the study area is the Rio Tinto  professional soccer stadium. Surrounding the stadium are mostly “C” grade industrial-type uses, which translate to a generally lifeless zone both during the week and after events at the stadium. Our goal was to generate a master plan that would provide direction for incremental redevelopment around the stadium and within the district, ultimately resulting in a vibrant urban living, entertainment-focused destination and an extension of the Cultural District to its south.
